Grattan lost 8-7 to Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, Y/NWT) where Grattan responded with a 7-5 win over Francois Gagne (Montreal, QC). Grattan went on to lose 8-5 against Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Grattan lost 7-5 to Jim Cotter (Kelowna, BC). Grattan lost 6-5 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) where Grattan responded with a 8-5 win over Shawn Adams (Halifax, NS). Grattan won 6-4 against Steve Laycock (Regina, SK). Grattan went on to lose 6-1 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Grattan earned 8.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 27 spots the World Ranking Standings into 91st place overall with 24.405 total points. Grattan ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.650 points earned so far this season.
