6-4 to Steve Laycock (Regina, SK), then responded with a 8-6 win over Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI). Koe went on to lose 11-8 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Koe responded with a 8-7 win over James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Koe went on to lose 9-2 against Shawn Adams (Halifax, NS). Koe lost 10-4 to Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Koe lost 8-3 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) where Koe responded with a 6-5 win over Jim Cotter (Kelowna, BC). Koe went on to lose 10-4 against Francois Gagne (Montreal, QC). Koe lost 9-2 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Koe lost 7-6 to Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Koe earned 6.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 27 of the event schedule, Koe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
