Wang went on to lose 7-5 against Sweden's Anette Norberg. Wang responded with a 8-2 win over Anna Sloan (Lockerbie, SCO). Wang went on to lose 7-6 against Mirjam Ott (Davos, SUI). Wang responded with a 14-5 win over Patti Lank (Lewiston, USA). Wang won 6-4 against Norway's Linn Githmark, then won 8-5 against Russia's Liudmilla Privivkova and 7-5 against Denmark's Lene Nielsen in their final qualifying round match.
