Wang lost 8-4 to Denmark's Ulrik Schmidt. Wang lost 9-4 to Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Wang lost 6-5 to Pete Fenson (Bemidji, USA) where Wang responded with a 7-2 win over Stefan Karnusian (St. Moritz, SUI). Wang went on to lose 6-4 against Sweden's Per Carlsen. Wang lost 9-3 to Kevin Koe (Edmonton, CAN). Wang lost 6-3 to Torger Nergaard (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
