3-2 to Scotland's David Murdoch, then responded with a 10-4 win over Germany's Andy Kapp. Sweden's Niklas Edin won 7-5 against Denmark's Ulrik Schmidt, then won 6-5 against Switzerland's Markus Eggler and 8-2 against Italy's Stefano Ferronato. Sweden's Niklas Edin won 10-5 against Czech Republic's Jiri Snitil, then won 6-5 against France's Thomas Dufour and 9-1 against Finland's Tomi Rantamaki. Sweden's Niklas Edin went on to lose 10-3 against Norway's Thomas Ulsrud in their final qualifying round match.
