Jones won 12-6 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Jelgava, LAT), then won 10-9 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) and 9-6 against Angelina Jensen (Taarnby, DEN). Jones won 6-4 against Erika Brown (Madison, WI), then won 10-2 against Moe Meguro (Aomori, JPN). Jones went on to lose 8-7 against Andrea Schopp (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, GER). Jones responded with a 7-4 win over Liudmilla Privivkova (Moscow, RUS). Jones won 8-5 against Eve Muirhead (Pitlochry, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
