Gushue responded with a 5-1 win over Dale Matchett (Bradford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 11.675 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 71.403 total points. Gushue ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.675 points earned so far this season.
