In their opening game, Rydholm lost 6-1 to Debbie McCormick (Rio, WI), droppimg another game, 7-0 to Matt Paul (Ottawa, ON) where Rydholm responded with a 7-3 win over Tyler George (Duluth, MN). Rydholm won 6-2 against Blake Morton (McFarland, WI) in their final qualifying round match.

Rydholm earned 0.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 1 of the event schedule, Rydholm did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rydholm ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
