To advance to the championship game, Dropkin won 7-4 over Derek Surka (Fort Wayne, IN) in the semifinals of the 2011 Fort Wayne Summer Cash in Fort Wayne, Indiana; and won 6-0 over Greg Jorgensen (Detroit, MI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Fort Wayne Summer Cash in Fort Wayne, Indiana;
 
Dropkin finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dropkin lost 10-1 to Surka, then responded with a 6-3 win over Josh Bahr (bemidji, MN). Dropkin won 7-2 against Becca Hamilton (Madison, WI), then won 8-5 against Jeremy Roe (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Fort Wayne Summer Cash Championship title, Dropkin earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $2,971CDN first prize cheque. Dropkin gained 7.5 points improving upon their best events, though dropped 114 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 114thplace overall with 7.500 total points. Dropkin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
