To advance to the championship game, Ontario's Peter Corner won 5-4 over Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON) in the semifinals of the 2011 Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic in Whitby, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-1 over Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic in Whitby, Ontario, Canada;
 
Ontario's Peter Corner finished 4-2 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ontario's Peter Corner defeated Heath McCormick (New York, NY) 8-4, then went on to lose 7-1 against Jake Higgs (Harriston, ON). Ontario's Peter Corner lost 7-2 to Denis Belanger (Toronto, ON) where Ontario's Peter Corner responded with a 9-3 win over Ontario's Morio Kumagawa. Ontario's Peter Corner won 8-1 against Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON), then won 5-2 against Ontario's Rob Lobel in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic Championship title, Ontario's Peter Corner earned 15.250 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 24th place overall with 80.500 total points. Ontario's Peter Corner ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.370 points earned so far this season.
