Farnell lost 7-1 to Heather Smith-Dacey (Halifax, NS) where Farnell responded with a 4-3 win over New Brunswick's Rebecca Atkinson. Farnell went on to lose 7-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
