Nimik won 7-0 against Leslie Bishop (Sarnia, ON), then won 6-3 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Nimik earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Sun Life Classic, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 56.848 total points. Nimik ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.750 points earned so far this season.
