In their opening game, McCarville defeated Erika Brown (Madison, WI) 9-8, then won 4-2 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) and 8-2 against Allison Nimik (Elmvale, ON). McCarville went on to lose 8-7 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). McCarville responded with a 9-4 win over Jackie Lockhart (Edinburgh, SCO). McCarville won 6-5 against Brown in their final qualifying round match.
 
McCarville earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Sun Life Classic, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 94.050 total points. McCarville ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.000 points earned so far this season.
