In their opening game, Smith-Dacey lost 7-4 to Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 4-1 win over Marie-France Larouche (Levis, PQ). Smith-Dacey won 7-1 against Lisa Farnell (Chaffey's Locks, ON). Smith-Dacey went on to lose 6-4 against Jackie Lockhart (Edinburgh, SCO). Smith-Dacey responded with a 6-4 win over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Smith-Dacey won 8-5 against Kirsten Wall (Toronto, ON), then won 7-5 against Chelsea Carey (Morden, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith-Dacey earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Sun Life Classic, moving up 22 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 41.750 total points. Smith-Dacey ranks 30th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.000 points earned so far this season.
