Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB) won 5-3 over Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) in the Final of the Twin Anchors Invitational, held September 30 - October 3, 2011 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Schlender won 5-4 over Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) to advance to the championship game.  of the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;   of the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; 
 
Schlender finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schlender defeated Jay Wakefield (New Westminster, BC) 6-0, then won 7-4 against Alexey Tselousov (Moscow, RUS) and 7-1 against Cotter in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Twin Anchors Invitational Championship title, Schlender earned 9.300 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 76.530 total points. Schlender ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.100 points earned so far this season.
