Koe finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated British Columbia's Tyler Klymchuk 9-3, then won 8-1 against Trevor Perepolkin (Vernon, BC) and 5-1 against Jessi Wilkinson (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
