Ferbey responded with a 7-1 win over Darrell McKee (Saskatoon, SK). Ferbey won 6-5 against Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-1 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-6 against Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ferbey earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 14th place overall with 85.921 total points. Ferbey ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.000 points earned so far this season.
