Laycock responded with a 6-5 win over Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK). Laycock won 7-6 against Braeden Moskowy (Regina, SK). Laycock went on to lose 7-6 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Laycock responded with a 8-7 win over Marsh. Laycock won 7-2 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Laycock earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, remaining in 11th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 108.835 total points. Laycock ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.600 points earned so far this season.
