Matt Lang (Saskatoon, SK) qualified for the 2011 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against Mark Herbert (Moose Jaw, SK). of the 2011 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Lang finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lang defeated Mitch Criton (Regina, SK) 5-4, then won 9-4 against Saskatchewan's Brad Law and 6-1 against Randy Woytowich (Saskatoon, SK). Lang won 5-3 against Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Lang earned 1.575 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic. For week 7 of the event schedule, Lang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Lang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
