Cotter won 7-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Cotter went on to lose 6-2 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Cotter responded with a 4-2 win over Claudio Pescia (St. Gallen, SUI). Cotter won 7-3 against Markku Uusipaavalniemi (Helsinki, FIN), then won 5-3 against Jon Rennie (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Cotter earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cactus Pheasant Classic, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 100.025 total points. Cotter ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.600 points earned so far this season.
