Jamie King (Edmonton/Calgary, AB) won 6-4 over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 4 - 7, 2011 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, King won 6-5 over Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-6 over Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in the quarterfinals.
 
King finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, King defeated Dean Ross (Calgary, AB) 5-4, then won 6-4 against Wade White (Edmonton, AB) and 7-6 against Liu in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Red Deer Curling Classic Championship title, King earned 11.300 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 46th place overall with 41.818 total points. King ranks 27th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.850 points earned so far this season.
