Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Northern Ontario's Bryan Burgess defeated North Dakota's Ryan Berg 8-6, then won 8-3 against Minnesota's Paul Pustovar and 7-5 against Minnesota's Philip DeVore.
