Japan's Makato Tsuruga won 8-1 against Randie Shen (Taipei City, CTP). Japan's Makato Tsuruga went on to lose 8-3 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong Gyeongbuk, KOR). Japan's Makato Tsuruga lost 6-0 to Dennis Graber (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
