In their opening game, Boone defeated Randie Shen (Taipei City, CTP) 6-3, then went on to lose 5-2 against Grant Olsen (Kamloops, BC). Boone lost 8-3 to British Columbia's Trevor Perepolkin where Boone responded with a 7-3 win over Kevin Ihlen (Kamloops, BC). Boone went on to lose 7-4 against Sebastien Robillard (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
