Aota finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Aota defeated Kristy Lewis (Vancouver, BC) 9-6, then went on to lose 7-1 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN). Aota lost 7-2 to Liudmila Privivkova (Moscow, RUS) where Aota responded with a 6-5 win over British Columbia's Simone Groundwater. Aota won 9-3 against Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC), then won 5-4 against Privivkova in their final qualifying round match.
 
Aota earned 1.905 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Kamloops Crown of Curling, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 65th place overall with 16.855 total points. Aota ranks 78th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.905 points earned so far this season.
