In their opening game, Brewster defeated Mario Freiberger (Limmattal, SUI) 4-3, then won 6-5 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess and 8-4 against Norway's Thomas Lovold. Brewster won 5-3 against Norway's Steffen R. Mellemseter in their final qualifying round match.
