Claudio Pescia (St. Gallen, SUI) 8-3, then went on to lose 9-3 against Russia's Aleksandr Kirikov. Edwards responded with a 9-1 win over David Sik (Prague, CZE). Edwards went on to lose 5-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
