Murdoch lost 5-4 to Switzerland's Peter de Cruz where Murdoch responded with a 8-5 win over Torkil Svensgaard (Hvidore, DEN). Murdoch won 6-1 against Scotland's Ewan MacDonald. Murdoch went on to lose 7-6 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Murdoch earned 3.135 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 21 of the event schedule, Murdoch did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
