Spencer finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Deb McCreanor (La Salle, MB) 8-1, then won 6-3 against Linda Stewart (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-5 against Brown in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Interlake Pharmacy Classic Championship title, Spencer earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 45th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 32.898 total points. Spencer ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.081 points earned so far this season.
