Cory Heggestad (Barrie, ON) won 6-1 over Chris Wimmer (Stroud, ON) in the Final of the COMCO Cash Spiel, held November 17 - 20, 2011 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Heggestad won 6-0 over Al Hutchinson (Owen Sound, ON) in the semifinals of the 2011 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-2 over Susan McKnight (Uxbridge, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Heggestad finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heggestad defeated Randy Flegel (Stroud, ON) 6-4, then went on to lose 8-4 against McKnight. Heggestad responded with a 7-1 win over Bill Irwin (Barrie, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the COMCO Cash Spiel Championship title, Heggestad earned 3.500 world rankings points along with the $3,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 42nd place overall with 46.350 total points. Heggestad ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.320 points earned so far this season.
