McNamee went on to lose 9-4 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). McNamee lost 6-4 to Todd Birr (Mankato, MN) where McNamee responded with a 6-2 win over Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
McNamee earned 2.745 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Manitoba Lotteries Men's Curling Classic, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 79th place overall with 16.675 total points.
