Potter finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Potter lost 7-6 to Mari Motohashi (Aomori, JPN), then responded with a 5-1 win over Karlee Jones (Thunder Bay, NONT). Potter won 8-3 against Becca Hamilton (Madison, WI), then won 5-2 against Maureen Stolt (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curl Mesabi Cash Spiel Championship title, Potter earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 18 of the event schedule, Potter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 90th place on the World Ranking Standings with 11.875 total points. Potter ranks 136th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.250 points earned so far this season.
