Dana Ferguson (Calgary, AB) qualified for the 2011 Vancouver Island Shootout playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Roselyn Craig (Duncan, BC). of the 2011 Vancouver Island Shootout in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Ferguson finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ferguson lost 8-7 to Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC), then responded with a 5-3 win over Lynne Noble (Victoria, BC). Ferguson won 6-4 against Ayumi Ogasawara (Kariuzawa, JPN), then won 6-4 against British Columbia's Simone Groundwater in their final qualifying round match.

Ferguson earned 0.750 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Vancouver Island Shootout, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 28th place overall with 47.376 total points.
