Brandi Tinkler (Victoria, BC) finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tinkler lost 9-3 to Marla Mallett (New Westminster, BC), then responded with a 6-5 win over Penny Shantz (Vancouver, BC). Tinkler won 6-3 against Kesa Van Osch (Victoria, BC). Tinkler went on to lose 6-3 against Roselyn Craig (Duncan, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
