Claudio Pescia (St. Gallen, SUI) qualified for the 2011 Whites Drug Store Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK).

Pescia finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pescia lost 6-5 to Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 8-1 win over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK). Pescia went on to lose 7-2 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Pescia responded with a 7-6 win over Scott Ramsay (Winnipeg, MB). Pescia won 7-0 against Hartung, then won 6-5 against Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Pescia earned 6.575 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Whites Drug Store Classic, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 58th place overall with 32.175 total points. Pescia ranks 88th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.575 points earned so far this season.
