Fossum finished 4-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fossum defeated Megan St Amand (Thunder Bay, NONT) 6-3, then won 6-4 against Sormunen and 9-8 against Marlo Dahl (Thunder Bay, NONT). Fossum won 9-3 against Becca Hamilton (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
