Muntain won 6-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN), then won 7-1 against Kyle Foster (Arborg, MB). Muntain went on to lose 6-5 against Rob Van Kommer (Carberry, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Muntain earned 0.740 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 48 spots the World Ranking Standings into 313th place overall with 1.100 total points. Muntain ranks 238th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.740 points earned so far this season.
