Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) run at the 2012 Victoria Curling Classic Invitational came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-5 loss to Chelsea Carey (Morden, MB).

Lawes finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawes defeated Roselyn Craig (Duncan, BC) 8-3, then won 10-3 against Cathy Overton-Clapham (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-4 against Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 33 of the event schedule, Lawes did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 1st place on the World Ranking Standings with 407.370 total points. Lawes ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 190.220 points earned so far this season.
