To advance to the championship game, Carey won 6-5 over Jill Thurston (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 MCT Championships in Morris, Manitoba; and won 6-5 over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 MCT Championships in Morris, Manitoba;
 
Carey finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey defeated Overton-Clapham 8-2, then went on to lose 5-2 against Joelle Brown (Winnipeg, MB). Carey responded with a 6-2 win over Karen Rosser (Dugald, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the MCT Championships Championship title, Carey earned 10.980 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 233.190 total points. Carey ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 83.920 points earned so far this season.
