Dean Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) won 6-4 over William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Carberry King Spud Classic, held October 14 - 17, 2011 in Carberry, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Dunstone won 11-7 over Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Carberry King Spud Classic in Carberry, Manitoba; and won 6-4 over Rob Van Kommer (Carberry, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Carberry King Spud Classic in Carberry, Manitoba;
 
Dunstone finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Jerry Chudley (Neepawa, MB) 6-2, then went on to lose 7-6 against Van Kommer. Dunstone responded with a 7-6 win over Chris Galbraith (Winnipeg, MB). Dunstone won 5-3 against Manitoba's Joey Witherspoon in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Carberry King Spud Classic Championship title, Dunstone earned 4.850 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 9 of the event schedule, Dunstone did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dunstone ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
