Irving responded with a 5-4 win over Rob Atkins (Winnipeg, MB). Irving won 5-3 against Bryce J. McEwen (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-3 against Kyle Doering (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
