After advancing directly to the championship game, Chelsea Carey (Morden, MB) lost 9-4 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, held November 30 - December 4, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
 
Carey finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey defeated Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) 9-3, then won 7-6 against Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) and 9-3 against Amber Holland (Kronau, SK). Carey won 5-4 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Carey went on to lose 8-7 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB). Carey responded with a 8-7 win over Jones in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, Carey take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $16,000CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 4th place overall with 222.210 total points.
