Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) won 7-4 over Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) in the Final Martin advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, held November 30 - December 4, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
 
Martin finished 6-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) 9-4, then won 8-7 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) and 8-4 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON). Martin won 10-8 against Howard, then won 7-6 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-5 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling Championship title, Martin earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $26,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 16 of the event schedule, Martin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Martin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
