Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) lost 7-4 to Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, held November 30 - December 4, 2011 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Howard won 9-5 over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling in Cranbrook, British Columbia;
 
Howard finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) 6-3, then went on to lose 9-7 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Howard responded with a 8-4 win over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Howard went on to lose 10-8 against Martin. Howard responded with a 7-5 win over Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Howard won 5-3 against Stoughton in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, Howard take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $16,000CDN prize. For week 16 of the event schedule, Howard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Howard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
