Marie, ON) 7-4, then won 7-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) and 9-6 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Stoughton won 10-8 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton went on to lose 7-6 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). Stoughton lost 5-3 to Howard in their final qualifying round match.
 
Stoughton earned 25.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 317.030 total points.
