In their opening game, Unterborn defeated Sebastian Elliott-Pedrosa (Schenectady, NY) 20-3, then went on to lose 10-3 against Nathaniel Clark (Nashua, NH). Unterborn lost 10-6 to Daniel Dudt (Malvern, PA) where Unterborn responded with a 11-5 win over Kent Suslavich (Bridgeport, CT) in their final qualifying round match.
