Kaufman finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman defeated Lisa Eyamie (High River, AB) 8-2, then won 6-3 against Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB) and 7-4 against Valerie Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Kaufman won 6-4 against Nedohin in their final qualifying round match.
