Horgan finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan lost 9-7 to Jenn Hanna (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 8-3 win over Cathy Auld (Mississauga, ON). Horgan won 7-3 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON), then won 8-3 against Laura Pickering (North Bay, ON). Horgan went on to lose 9-3 against Homan. Horgan responded with a 9-3 win over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON). Horgan won 7-6 against Marlo Dahl (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 7-5 against Kathy Brown (Schomberg, ON) and 6-2 against Allison Nimik (St. Thomas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Ontario Scotties Championship title, Horgan earned 13.840 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 28th place overall with 61.755 total points. Horgan ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.315 points earned so far this season.
