Heather Strong (St. John's, NL) won 9-3 over Laura Phillips (St. John's, NL) in the Final Strong advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Newfoundland/Labrador Scotties Tournament of Hearts, held January 18 - 22, 2012 in St. Johns, Newfoundland / Labrador.

Strong finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Strong defeated Beth Hamilton (St. John's, NL) 8-4, then won 5-4 against Shelley Nichols (St. John's, NL). Strong went on to lose 7-4 against Stacie Devereaux (St. John's, NL). Strong responded with a 8-1 win over Phillips in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Newfoundland/Labrador Scotties Tournament of Hearts Championship title, Strong earned 4.000 world rankings points, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 97th place overall with 11.250 total points. Strong ranks 95th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.250 points earned so far this season.
