Strong went on to lose 7-4 against Stacie Devereaux (St. John's, NL). Strong responded with a 8-1 win over Phillips in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Newfoundland/Labrador Scotties Tournament of Hearts Championship title, Strong earned 4.000 world rankings points, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 97th place overall with 11.250 total points.
