Korte won 5-4 against Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the SaskTel Provincial Mens Championship, Korte take home 7.500 world rankings points, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 74th place overall with 28.170 total points. Korte ranks 59th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.495 points earned so far this season.
